About Us
Rebecca Mihlek, Owner
Rebecca Mihlek is a member of Pet Sitters International (“PSI”) and a Certified Professional Pet Sitter; having completed a comprehensive course of study created by PSI in conjunction with leading pet care industry professionals. Rebecca has extensive experience with overnight care for multiple animal households, daily dog walks/visits, and caring for animals with special needs. She has personally rescued dozens of kitties, and is involved with several local rescue organizations such as Our Companions and Mary’s Kitty Korner. Rebecca strives to stay current with trends in the pet industry through her affiliation with Pet Sitters International, social media, and maintaining a relationship with local veterinarians and groomers. Her first priority is the happiness, safety, and well-being of your pet.
Prior to the care of animals, Rebecca worked as a Zoning Enforcement Officer/Wetlands Agent, and as an Executive Administrative Assistant. She graduated cum laude from Westfield State University in 2000, and holds a degree in Mass Communications and Regional Planning. She decided to leave the corporate world behind in 2008 to concentrate on her real passion: caring for animals full-time and immersing herself in the animal world and surrounding herself with other like-minded individuals.
Having owned and raised numerous doggies, kitties, birds, rabbits and fish, Rebecca currently shares her home with two rescue kitties, Emma and Boo, and a rescued lovebird named Suzi.
